Did you know current research shows that adding MCT oil to an epileptic dog’s food can help reduce the rate and severity of seizure?
A keto diet is beneficial to a dog with epilepsy (low carbs, high fat and adequate protein). However, dog’s don’t easily get into a state of ketosis very easily. The addition of MCT oil produces more of a ketogenic effect in dogs therefore increasing the effects of a keto diet.
This particular MCT oil is mostly C8 which is the most bioavailable to the body.
Feed at a rate of 6.5% of their daily food amount.
May cause loose poos and unsettled tummies so it’s recommended to start with a very small amount and build up.
