Pumpkin seed oil is good supplement to raw diets. Packed with Vitamin E tocopherols, Omega-6, and Omega-3 fatty acids, it also serves as an excellent source of essential minerals, including zinc and magnesium.
Pumpkin seed oil can have a positive effect on bladder weakness and prostate enlargement.
Pumpkin seed oil contains a unique amino acid called cucurbitacin, which has the ability to decrease motility (movement) and fecal egg count of roundworms and tapeworms as well as increase the number of worms expelled in the animal's stool.
Pumpkin seed oil is also suitable for external use on your four-legged friend, for eczema and dry, flaky skin. The oil is applied sparingly to the affected areas.
In food, suggested amounts are:
<10kg: 1/2tsp
10-20kg: 1 tsp
>20kg: 1.5 - 2 tsp
It is recommended to start will a small amount and build up to the amount your dog can tolerate
